DIETARY CONCERNS AND FOOD HANDLING:
We understand many children have dietary restrictions due to allergies, religious beliefs and/or personal preferences. Should you wish to limit or forbid certain food items for any reason, please notify us beforehand and we will ensure that no offensive food item is served to your child.
The Salt Lake County Health Department no longer allows schools to serve food that has been prepared at home. Our parents do provide the snacks, however on your scheduled snack days we ask that you only bring items that have been purchased from a store and do not require any in-home preparation. All items must to be unopened. Holladay Preschool staff members have food-handling permits and are able to properly store, handle, prepare and serve your food items. Papergoods and utensils are always provided courtesy of the preschool.
Little children often get sick. You should keep your child at home throughout the duration of the illness so as to expedite the healing process and avoid getting the other children sick. Keep your child home for 24 hours after any fever. Notify the school and we will notify the teachers. We will also inform the other parents if they need to watch for signs of anything contagious.
Parents will be required to keep their children out of the classroom if any of the following are noted:
